Attitude of Gratitude

This month (with Thanksgiving right around the corner), we are talking to our students about Gratitude.  We are talking about gratitude is simply the attitude of recognizing, appreciating, and being thankful for all the good things in your life.


The reason why it’s so hard to develop an Attitude of Gratitude is because we live in a negative world; we live in a world that accentuates the negativity. As a result, we tend to learn how to focus on the negative.  But if you want to be a positive person, and if you want to have more joy in your life, than you need to learn how to focus on the positive. However, if you want to be more positive, and enjoy more of life, you have to train your brain to look for the positive.  Looking for the positive in each other, and in your life will help you “see” all the good and develop more of an Attitude of Gratitude!


This month we have handed out sheets for all our Kids Karate students to list 5 things they are grateful for.  We are posting then at the top of our mirror wall to fill this dojo up with positive energy.  Let's work together this month to encourage our kids to show an attitude of gratitude.
